O RB260GS é um pequeno switch SOHO. Possui cinco portas Gigabit Ethernet e uma gaiola SFP alimentada por um Atheros Switch Chip.

É alimentado por um sistema operacional projetado especificamente para produtos MikroTik Switch – SwOS.
O SwOS pode ser configurado a partir do seu navegador. Ele oferece todas as funcionalidades básicas para um switch gerenciado, e mais: Permite gerenciar o encaminhamento de porta a porta, aplicar filtro MAC, configurar VLANs, espelhar tráfego, aplicar limitação de largura de banda e até mesmo ajustar alguns campos de cabeçalho MAC e IP.
